Race Abandoned due to Sailing Instruction 22.3 listed below and a
Current Severe Weather Warning for the Hunter for Damaging Winds
22.3 Postponing or Abandoning Races
(a) If there is a prediction of winds in excess of 25 knots for our local
area it will be a trigger for a meeting of those persons responsible to
decide on the postponement or abandonment of races for the day.
(b) If a SEVERE WEATHER WARNING FOR DAMAGING WINDS
(BOM) is current for the Hunter Region, then the race will not be
started.
(c) A race committee consisting of the Starter, Sailing Master (or
appointee), and a representative of each division racing on the day will
be responsible for decision making in terms of abandonment or
postponement of races.
